Marrakesh was the start of Lyn's love of Morgans. Originally purchased in 1998 so she would have a "safe" horse to ride with our daughter Jessy, he quickly proved to be that and so much more. Successfully shown in Park Harness, English Pleasure, Hunt Seat and Western Pleasure he is a horse that can do it all! And he loves doing it!! He is one of those rare horses that seems to know exactly how to take care of his rider no matter what their skill level. He has safely "taught" children as young as 8 how to ride but still has that "look at me" attitude and great energy for an experienced rider in competition. He is currently in training with Shelly Butterfield. Although Shelly still loves to show him herself in English Pleasure he is currently successfully showing with her Junior Exhibitor students.

Our story would not be complete without mention of the little grey arab that started it all! Alphie was our daughter's first pony and the beginning of the Estell family's love of horses. Now 32, Alphie still plays an important role on this Morgan Horse farm - he has the very important job of teaching our weanlings how to be a "grown up" horse after they have been weaned from their mothers. His kind and gentle nature, that made him such a wonderful teacher for many little girls as they were learning to ride, has made him an excellent teacher and companion for little Morgans!
